The RD-88DT possesses a massive 160GB hard disk, allowing 'Chase Play' and 'Pause Live TV' recording. It also has one touch recording, giving up to 284 hours of recording time, without searching for unused tapes or blank discs. You

can simultaneously play and record, allowing you to watch a DVD whilst recording to the HDD and vice versa - great for when you are watching a film on DVD, but want to record the football on a Saturday night.

The RD-88DT has an HDMI connection for the lossless transmission of video and audio content, up-scaling standard definition DVDs to 720p, 1080i and 1080p, delivering impressive image quality from your existing DVD collection.
This versatile DVD recorder is compatible with DVD+R/+RW and DVD-R/-RW so you need never miss a second of the action. There are 5 recording modes, which, depending on quality allow up to 812 hours of recording time, allowing you the chance to record a whole series of your favourite show on one disc for permanent archiving.

There is an analogue and a digital tuner for access to Freeview, with its exciting choice of TV channels and radio stations, all available through your existing aerial. Freeview Playback lets you pause, record and rewind over 40 Freeview channels
with no subscription and no set-top box. Recording couldn't be simpler with an 8 day electronic programme guide letting you know what's on and when.

REGZA Link allows simultaneous operation of multiple devices from a single remote control via the HDMI connection (compatibility dependant). We're still not finished; the RD-88DT also has a JPEG viewer, the ability to play MP3 files
and the latest downloaded content off the internet, compressed with DivX.
